These prints are from the Bloodlines project which explores ideas of historical fiction and applies them to personas based in this case on an American revolutionary and a Dominican radical both derived respectively from my and my partner's family trees. By using the matriarchs and patriarchs of both personal and historical folklore I'm able to refashion their lives through objects that serve as heirlooms. Through this series of 31 silk screens I've created a taxonomy of images each of which has a story that fits into the larger narrative.
